About Me
‘For me, music in absolutely the best and most natural way to share my greatest life passion. Every concert is a unique opportunity to exchange energy and emotions between me and audiences, and such moments are great sources of motivation and inspiration for me!’
Milan Řehák (b.1994) is currently one of the most notable and progressive Czech accordionists, a graduate of the Prague conservatory and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. He is a laureate of many international accordion competitions (Croatia, Italy, Germany, Czechia, Russia).
The first prize at the competition in Pula (2012) has brought him many opportunities such as a concert for European Broadcasting Union, a concert at Prague Music Festival, and invitations to TV shows. He has also performed at festivals in Stockholm, Dresden, Salzburg, Milano, and has collaborated with several great musicians such as Jaroslav Svěcený, Václav Hudeček, Lubomír Brabec, Czech trio and many others.
Nowadays, apart from his solo projects and concerts, he collaborates with the Swedish cellist Johannes Rydén with whom he participated at the Ung & Lovande chamber music competition 2019. In 2020, he started a new concert duo with the cellist Kristina Vocetková.
His solo repertoire includes original accordion compositions, baroque pieces, virtuosic transcriptions and popular arrangements. He has officially released 6 CDs. Apart from the accordion and performing, he enjoys media production, painting and nature.
